Frontline social work

In October and November 2011 I was one of four members of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) who went out to Palestine, to develop links with social workers there and with their equivalent organisation, the Palestinian Union of Social Workers and Psychologists (PUSWP).

We are starting to disseminate the findings from our visit widely, and you can read an article here, written by one of our group, Dave Harrop, which first appeared in Professional Social Work in March 2012, published by the British Association of Social Workers.

I have also been asked to write a blog post for Community Care, to coincide with World Social Work Day later this month, and I’ll post details here when it’s ready.
